dear miss bella

i had plans with my friend to go to her birthday but somebody invited me to their  party after. i know i said yes to my friend but i really wanted to go to makenzie’s party (the most popular girl in our school). So i went to makenzie’s party but now my friend is really mad at me. How can I fix things with her?

Dear Friendless Frantic, 

That sounds like a tough problem to go through but I've been through the same problem. Back in my day I used to have this real nice friend, her name was Allison. We got into a fight because I missed her birthday party. She thought I was lying because the real popular mean girl said I went to her party when I didn't! The truth was my brother was sick so I had to take care of him and then I got sick so my parents had to take care of me, which meant I missed her birthday. Now when you're reading this you're probably wondering, how did you fix it with her? And the truth is I fixed it but our friendship was never as close as it was before. The way I fixed things was, me and my other friend John threw her a "I'm sorry I missed your birthday party" party.
